#FridayReads

I can’t believe I’ve made it back here again. There’s something about blogging with utmost simplicity — very few links, no images — that works for me right now. I hope I’ll be doing this for a while and I hope anyone who winds up here will enjoy what they find. I’m sure things will start to change after a few months, but for now I’m content with this weekly rota of posts. If you’re reading this? Thank you.

#FridayReads once more! Someone once asked me if it felt like Christmas for me each Friday to see all the tweets being shared via the hashtag and, you know what? It does! Christmas and Hanukkah and Kwanzaa and Eid and Holi and what other global holidays am I missing? I love seeing the #FridayReads responses to my weekly post, but I also love seeing the #FridayReads posts and responses from other people, many of whom have no idea I exist and that is just fine.

Here are a few of my favorite posts from this week, and I share them in the hopes that you might be interested in the books mentioned, or even in following the people who share them. Yes, for now I’m sharing tweets, but I will for sure branch out to Instagram posts and more. Baby steps.

@Stokar is reading one of my favorite comic novels of all time:

@lmansley (also using the #amreading hashtag) has picked up the latest collection from a hilarious writer:

In honor of this year’s #MemorialDay commemorations, @MiddletownPL shares several books:

I’ve noticed quite a few #FridayReads tweeters reading this one, as @pattysuss is; it’s going to be a very big book in 2023 I believe:

Novelist @PamJenoff has a question!

See you all next #FridayReads. . . I hope your weekends are serene. Please take a moment to think of our nation’s honored fallen, the men and women who gave their lives for our county.
